We have enjoyed having Miss Vance in our class for the past several weeks. She has taught our class many things including lessons on force and motion, simple machines, our unit on fractions and we have loved the Viking unit she did with us. This is her last week of student teaching in 3rd grade and then she will go to a first grade classroom. Thanks Miss Vance for teaching us so much and sharing your love of teaching with us!
This Week's Happenings:
Language Arts: We have started our unit on the solar system and space. We will read about the moon and the planets this week. In our grammar work we will continue to practice using conjunctions which will include 'so' and 'or'. We will also use the suffixes 'ful' and 'less' to change the meaning of words.
Math: We have been comparing fractions and placing fractions in order greatest to least and least to greatest. We will learn about equivalent fractions and finish this unit by taking the unit 9 test.
Spelling: Our words this week are words with the sound of /n/. Please see the homework cover for the words to have your student study for this week.
