Mrs. Whetman's 3rd Grade Adventurers

Thank you for supporting our President's Day Program on Friday.  It was so fun to perform for our families and friends.  Here are some pictures from the program.

This Week's Happenings:

Language Arts:  We will wrap up our unit on Vikings by doing a final draft of our Viking journal writing and completing the reading about the Norse boy Bjorn.  We will begin our unit on Space and will read about our place in the universe and study the planets in our solar system.  We will work with the conjunction 'so' in our sentences and use the suffixes '-ful', and '-ness'.  

Math:  We are working with fractions by comparing them to show which fraction is greater, we will put fractions in order greatest to least and will determine equivalent fractions.

Spelling:Our spelling words this week have various spellings for the sound /j/.  Please check the homework cover for the spelling words for this week.

Thank you!  A big thank you to those that were able to send goodies for our Valentines party last Thursday.  We had a wonderful time sharing treats and handing our Valentines.  Thank you!!!
