This Week's Happenings

Language Arts:  This week we will read about the nervous system and write about what we learn.  We will also introduce subject pronouns and learn about  subject-verb agreements.  We will review making plural nouns and adding the suffixes -ed, -ing, -s, -es to verbs.

Math:  We will complete our unit on introducing multiplication and will start our next unit working with multiplication facts and strategies we can use to find the products.

Spelling:  Our spelling words this week will be a review of adding the suffixes -ed, -ing, -s, -es to verbs and making singular nouns plural.  Our words are:   watch (watched, watching, watches), wish (wished, wishing, wishes), submit (submitted, submitting, submits), raise (raised, raising, raises), dry (dried, drying, dries),  book (books), puppy (puppies), knife (knives), child (children), person (people).  

3rd Grade Thrills:   We will have our 3rd grade thrills activity on Friday of this week in the afternoon.  This is always a fun activity for our third grade students.  I am very proud of our class because everyone qualified to participate.

Picture retakes:  Picture retakes will be on Thursday, Oct. 24.  I will send home information about retakes on Tuesday.
