Reading:  We are starting a new chapter in our unit 8 reader.  Let's start with a prereading activity using a graphic organizer.  You will need to get a new graphic organizer and have it ready for this activity.  Click here for the activity.  After you have finished the prereading activity, go to the Unit 8 reader and read chapter 2 titled, "Adoette and Awan the Bird Chasers".  

Skills:  Today we will learn about plural possessive nouns that do not end with the letter 's'.  You will need the following activities.  activity 2.2, page 9 and PP7, page 111 which are found in your CKLA Unit 8 book.  Have these ready for the instruction video.  Click here for the video.



Writing:  Let's continue with our paragraph about Etu, the Hunter. You will need your Ancient Native American book and your graphic organizer for this activity.  Turn to the writing we started yesterday.  Click here for the instruction to finish your writing.  Share your paragraph with someone in your house.

Math:  Your assignment today is to complete the mid-chapter checkpoint on page 591-592.  It is one page and you will complete both sides.  Click here for instructions.  Complete both sides of the page.  Use the virtual clock if needed.

Listening and Learning:  Our lesson today will give you more information about a group of Ancient Native Americans called the Mound Builders.  You will need your booklet with the questions you will fill in as you listen. Turn to page 3, called "Native Americans of the Greater Mississippi River Areas".  Click here to listen and fill in your booklet.  After completing the listening and learning activity, click here to check you answers in your booklet.
