Reading: Today we will read Chapter 1, "The Lure of Spices" in the Unit 9 reader. You will need to get activity 1.1, page from your Unit 9 CKLA workbook (Book with the hummingbird). We will read this together and then you will answer the questions. Click here for the prereading activity. Click here to read the chapter. Read the chapter a second time. You could read it to someone in your family.
Skills: We will be using the linking words 'for example' to create sentences. You will need to get out activity 2.3, page 13, from your Unit 9 workbook. Click here for the lesson. Click here to do the assignment.
Math: For math today, you will need to get out the worksheet called "Perimeter" from the packet of math papers I sent home with you last week. It has 11.1 on the right had corner of the paper. Click here to see the paper and get instructions to complete the activity. Click here to correct your paper. be doing lesson 11.2 in the Interactive student edition on gomath. Login and complete this activity.
Listening and Learning: We will be learning more about Christopher Columbus today. You will need your Listening and Learning booklet for this activity. Turn to page 2. Click here for the introduction. Next clck here for the lesson. Finally you will need to correct your booklet and do the activity in your Explorer's Notebook. You will need your notebook and "Reasons for Exploration" paper. Click here for the activity.
